WorldFront – Part-time Remote (Work from Home)

WorldFront is a global ecommerce company, shipping millions of products to customers worldwide across books, media, and an expanding range of consumer goods.

We operate at scale across multiple markets, which means regulatory excellence isn’t optional — it’s core to how we grow. We’re looking for a Head of Regulatory & Compliance to take ownership of this function and build a robust, proactive compliance capability across the business.


About the role

This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for identifying regulatory risk, building practical controls, and ensuring the business stays ahead of regulatory expectations across multiple jurisdictions.

You’ll work closely with operations, product, and leadership teams to embed compliance into day-to-day decision-making — not just policy documents.

The position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) with a flexible work schedule. We’re outcome-focused — you can structure your time to suit, provided there is a regular check-in with the team on most working days to stay aligned on priorities and emerging issues.


Key responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and monitor regulatory and compliance risks across the business
  • Design and implement practical, scalable controls to mitigate those risks
  • Continuously monitor, test, and improve controls, identifying gaps and driving remediation
  • Track and respond to regulatory changes and developments across key markets
  • Lead responses to external events, including:
    • Product safety incidents
    • Customer complaints with regulatory implications
    • Regulator inquiries or investigations
    • Product recalls
  • Act as the primary point of contact with government departments and regulators, building strong, credible relationships
  • Provide clear, commercial guidance to the business on consumer law, product compliance, and regulatory obligations
  • Help shape internal processes so compliance is built-in, not bolted on

About you

We’re open to different backgrounds, but you’ll likely come from:

  • regulatory, compliance, risk, or assurance role, or
  • legal background with strong practical/commercial application

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience dealing with regulators or government bodies
  • Strong judgment — knowing when to escalate vs solve pragmatically
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote environment
  • A bias for action — you focus on solutions, not just identifying problems
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-volume ecommerce or operational environment (preferred but not essential)
  • An interest in leveraging modern AI tools to drive compliance at scale, including identifying risks, automating monitoring, and improving response workflows
  • Bonus: experience using or writing AI prompts / workflows to analyse data, classify products, or support compliance processes
