About the Role

We're looking for a Systems Administrator with a strong foundation in IT and a passion for excellent service. You're naturally curious, a strong problem solver, and someone who thrives on change with minimal guidance.

In this role, you'll provide local and international support to internal staff at all levels in a fast-paced, fast-changing global environment — while also contributing to longer-term technical projects, process improvements, and documentation efforts.

This role is open remotely for candidates based anywhere in Australia.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the second-tier support and escalation point for all technical incidents and requests
• Support and mentor HelpDesk Team Members through training and day-to-day assistance
• Provision, document, and support computing endpoints (laptops, mobile devices), SaaS and business applications, and cloud/office infrastructure
• Lead and manage support across a range of hardware and software products
• Create and maintain efficient documentation for IT standards, policies, procedures, and knowledge base
• Proactively identify improvements to our IT strategy, maintaining a cloud-first approach
• Monitor availability, security, and reliability of internal network infrastructure
• Maintain regulatory systems and software, including security compliance and infosec technology reviews
• Upgrade systems and processes for enhanced functionality and security
• Administer infrastructure including network, software, databases, and malware protection
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects on an ad hoc basis

What You'll Bring

Must have:

• 3+ years of experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role
• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
• Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software
• Strong detail-orientation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage and execute multiple concurrent priorities
• Experience supporting SaaS-based applications (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom) and video conferencing/infrastructure technologies
• Familiarity with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro
• Genuine excitement for learning new technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with compliance and InfoSec laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Exposure to high-growth technology businesses
• Understanding of the performance and value drivers in technology businesses

• Implemented documentation that complies with Information Security Standards at a global scale
• Taken ownership of all day-to-day operational systems
• Provided ongoing support and advice to HelpDesk Analysts
• Increased efficiency within the IT department and contributed recommendations for future improvements
