You’re excited by technology and software - you enjoy learning then & understanding what they can actually do for a business. You like getting your head around new tools, seeing where they fit, and thinking about how they can genuinely improve the way a company operates. 

You’re naturally consultative in how you sell - you ask good questions, dig into problems, and shape solutions around what the client actually needs rather than forcing something generic. You’re also commercially minded - always thinking about how to solve problems in a way that improves productivity, drives efficiency, and ultimately makes your clients more money.

You’re an active person & you get bored easily. You want a role that will challenge you mentally, get you out and about visiting clients and a sales cycle that is different client to client. 

We need a Sales & Account Manager for our client Tiller Technical. They implement & manage the software Helm for Marine operations. The software is amazing and does everything from logistics, crewing, maintenance and compliance. They service a huge range of clients - so no 2 companies/problems/services/solutions are the same. 

The company is small, but mighty & growing, and they have a great reputation and marketshare. You’ll work alongside the Founder, Drew, who has been the sole person responsible for sales up to this point. He is based in Perth, but is happy for this person to be on the East Coast and build more of a presence there. As the company grows you could hire an Account Manager below you and focus on New Sales - there’s plenty of opportunities for growth! 

We recently interviewed the entire team to get their feedback and the #1 strength of the company is the people & how they operate as a team. Some feedback was:

The role is a balance between new sales & account management, however the smaller accounts will be managed by others and you’ll mostly be given just the large accounts, in which there is a lot of opportunity that hasn’t been realised. 

It’s an exciting role & industry - you will be working from home and going out to see clients (so you’ll spend a lot of time on boats). And it’s not a “rinse and repeat” sales process - you have to be smart, ask great questions and be intuitive when it comes to thinking about workflows, processes and how a business comes together. 

You don’t have to have a Marine background - you might come from a technical, construction, or services background, but you must be excited by the industry and have a real love for how transformative software can be. 

The role is remote (but client visits required), full-time, Mon-fri, 9-5. The role has a healthy base & very competitive bonuses - OTE could easily be over $200k for someone great.
