About the role:
Veterans First Consulting is seeking a highly capable CSC Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This is a newly created role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and can provide expert guidance, training, and leadership across CSC invalidity processes. You will play a critical role in uplifting team capability, ensuring consistency, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, deliver and implement structured, tailored training solutions around the CSC processes
- Provide clear guidance and practical support to team members on complex matters
- Maintain strong, up-to-date knowledge of CSC invalidity processes, tools, and workflows
- Implement and embed new processes in consultation with relevant others
- Act as the first point of contact for process clarification and best practice guidance
- Ensure consistent application of processes through regular auditing and feedback
- Monitor communications and respond promptly with accurate guidance
- Identify and escalate urgent or complex matters with appropriate context
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and team efficiency
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused team culture
- Model professionalism, accountability, and high communication standards
Experience/ Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Proven interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail with strong auditing and follow-up skills
- Ability to identify training needs and deliver effective training solutions
- Strong judgement and decision-making skills
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation and Statements of Principles
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Alignment with VFC’s values and standards
- Ability to obtain a clear police check and relevant state-based clearances (e.g. Working With Vulnerable People/Children)
