Access Adventure Club is on a mission to connect young people with nature, to improve the wellbeing of our next generation! We predominantly achieve this through delivering our Accessible Adventures programs for young people with disabilities - through our newest brand, Access Adventure Club!

We have been in operation for 10 years and are leaders in a uniquely positioned niche that falls between outdoor education, disability support and tourism in Australia. We currently have a team of 15 full time staff and approximately 40 casual staff.

Role Description:

This is a remote, work from home (WFH) role, that can be based anywhere in Australia (we currently have staff in most states across Australia). This role is 5 hours per day, and can be done within school hours, from home.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for managing a team, to execute of the company’s Marketing activities. We predominantly communicate with our audience via paid digital marketing, as well as organic digital marketing including email, sms, manychat and posting on third party platforms for backlinking and SEO. Our Accessible Adventures programs are located in South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and NSW currently, and we will be expanding into Victoria in the later part of this year. The role can be summed up into these main components:

  • Leading the marketing team to execute our marketing plan.
    Ensure our Marketing team understands the marketing plan and can deliver it on time, by approving or giving feedback on work they have done. The marketing plan currently includes: paid digital ads on social media and google, organic social channel management, email and SMS marketing and SEO and third-party back-linking.

    Your team will consist of full-timers, and part-timers with the following skills:
    - graphics and video content designer
    - tech systems and automation specialist
    - social media paid ads specialist
    - website and backend developer
  • Liaise with sales, operations, finance departments
    Attend weekly leadership meetings (on Fridays) to report on the marketing departments statistics / scores for the week, solve company issues weekly and be a strong conduit for cross-departmental communication.
  • Process Improvement
    Creatively advise on improving marketing and communications activities and approaches, to help us communicate our offering to more families, or help refine our current activities so we are more efficient with our communication. 

This role primarily focuses on leading a team on the digital side of marketing (not partnerships or business development) and overall your mission is to turn Access Adventure Club from a relatively unknown provider, into a nationally-known and recognised brand by our target audience.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be incredibly organised, and a very process-oriented, and system-thinker.
  • Be data driven, and have the ability to find data-based insights.
  • A creative, problem solving mindset that is adaptable to change.
  • Lived experience, or work experience with youth, or within the disability and care industry.
  • Have a strong passion for nature and the outdoors, and be driven by positively impacting the wellbeing of young people.
  • Not necessarily be an expert in all areas of digital marketing, but have the foundational understanding and experience, to lead a team of specialists.
  • Have core values that are aligned with ours.

The role is a part-time contract (approximately 25 hours per week, 5 days/week) However for the right candidate we can accommodate more hours if requested, and flexible working arrangements.
