The Company. Sharp & Carter are partnering exclusively with a well-known Australian retail and consumer business on an Interim Commercial Manager opportunity supporting the organisation through a key period of transition and planned leave coverage within the Commercial Finance team. This organisation operates a large-scale, multi-site national footprint and is recognised as a market leader within the retail sector, with a highly commercial and fast-paced operating environment.
The Role.
This is a highly visible, hands-on commercial leadership role focused on maintaining continuity, commercial rigour and executive decision support across a critical four-month period. Reporting into senior commercial leadership, this role will operate as a trusted commercial partner across the business, ensuring forecasting, reporting and planning rhythms continue seamlessly while providing high-quality commercial insights to executive stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting processes.
  • Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support ELT-level decision making.
  • Partner closely with Retail and Property stakeholders across the business.
  • Support analysis, modelling and financial commentary where required.
  • Ensure financial narratives and executive reporting remain clear, accurate and commercially focused.

The Person.

  • Experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager with strong hands-on capability.
  • Background within retail, multi-site or other operationally complex environments.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal onboarding or handholding.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing capability.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to balance strategic thinking and detail.
  • Systems exposure across SAP highly regarded.
