Randstad is seeking dedicated Call Centre Operators to work remotely for a Victorian Government client, assisting the public with inquiries related to natural disasters (fire and floods).

Role: Respond to inbound calls from the general public, providing assistance and guiding callers to relevant information during natural disaster events (fire and floods).

Pay Rates:
- Training: $32.18 per hour + super
- Post-training: $35.15 per hour + super

Nature of work: Successful candidates will be added to a casual availability list as part of this bulk recruitment effort. Staff will be contacted for 'surge work' as needed, with anticipated start dates generally in June or July, though this may occur earlier depending on operational demands.

Commitment: Minimum 1 business day of availability each week.
- Call centre hours operate Monday to Friday 8am-6pm.
- This role is not full time hours, this role offers casual shifts on a rostering basis, based on your availability.

- Minimum shifts are 3 hours.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to quickly assess customer questions/situations and provide an appropriate response.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with Victorian geography and the ability to navigate digital maps.
- Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve performance targets.
Mandatory Home Office Requirements:
- Device running Windows 10 (16GB RAM or more is recommended).
- Second monitor for dual-screen navigation.
- Dedicated headset for call-taking.
- Webcam for training sessions.
- Reliable home internet (recommended minimum: 50mbs download / 10mbs upload).
- A suitable home office setup for a call centre role.
